Information collected
When you send an email, we receive your address, the message, any details you choose to include and ordinary email metadata. The contact form prepares a draft in your browser. Its fields are not submitted to a website endpoint or saved in the site's local storage. Opening the draft passes its contents to your chosen email application; we receive them only if you send the email.
Website delivery involves technical information such as an IP address, requested resource, browser information and request time. Hosting systems may process this information for delivery, diagnostics and security. This site does not use visitor analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking. A local storage record remembers your privacy choice, as described in the cookie policy.
Purposes and legal bases
We use enquiry information to respond, investigate corrections and manage correspondence. Our usual UK GDPR basis is legitimate interests in running the publication and answering messages, balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations. Where a message concerns steps requested before a contract, the relevant contractual basis may apply. Legal obligations may require us to retain or disclose particular records.
We apply the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations as applicable. Optional device storage would require an appropriate lawful basis and consent where the law requires it. We do not use contact details for unsolicited marketing, sell personal information or make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Processors and international transfers
Hosting and email service providers may process information needed to deliver the site and correspondence. Professional advisers may receive limited information where necessary for legal, security or business administration purposes. Service providers acting as processors must operate under suitable instructions and contractual safeguards. You may contact us for information about providers relevant to your enquiry.
We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where a restricted international transfer is involved, an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards must support it. Your own email provider and websites reached through external links operate under their own privacy terms; this policy does not control their processing.
Retention and security
Our routine retention policy is to delete enquiry correspondence within twelve months after the matter closes, unless an ongoing dispute, legal duty or separately agreed relationship requires longer retention. Where an exception applies, we retain only relevant information and review the continuing need. Technical records should be retained only as needed for service operation, security investigation and applicable legal duties.
The browser preference is treated as expired after 180 days and renewed only when you make another choice. You can clear it sooner through browser settings. We limit access to correspondence and use proportionate security measures, but email and internet transmission cannot be guaranteed secure. Do not send passwords, incident evidence or sensitive third-party records through the contact form.
Rights, complaints and contact
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate identity checks before responding.
Where the EU GDPR applies, relevant EU rights and supervisory authority routes also apply. Where the CCPA, as amended, applies to a California resident and our processing, applicable rights may include knowing, deleting and correcting information and opting out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
Write to [email protected], identifying your message as a privacy request, or use the registered address below. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office or another competent regulator. Material changes to processing will be reflected in this policy and communicated where required.
